BEDFORD – Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a Bedford man on drug charges after they searched his home on Monday night.
On April 15th, around 10 p.m., Lawrence County Deputy Clifford Pruett responded to a complaint of drug activity at an apartment in the 4000 block of Old State Road 37.
The apartment occupants were uncooperative, but Deputy Pruett observed probable cause of drug use and applied for a search warrant. Captain Harrison Fleetwood, Sgt. Anthony Pope, Deputy Josh Rhoades, and Deputy Davis Miller arrived to assist. Superior Court 2 Judge Robert Cline signed and issued a search warrant.
Armed with the warrant, deputies searched the home and found burnt marijuana cigarettes, meth residue, and drug paraphernalia.
Police found 32-year-old Robert Curren of Bedford with a baggy containing heroin and another containing LSD. He is facing charges of possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia
