David B. Bartlett, 87, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Majestic Care of Bedford. Born June 10, 1936, in Bedford, he was the son of Kenneth Bartlett and Edyth (Jones) Bartlett. He married Donna Louise Ingle on July 24, 1976, and she survives.
David graduated from Bedford High School, the University of Dayton, and Indiana University. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was an usher. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and member of the American Legion Gillen post #33. David was an avid golfer and a ham radio operator, and he was a member of the Bedford and Mitchell Dulcimer Club. David retired from GM as a Quality Control Supervisor.
Surviving to cherish David’s memory are two daughters, Jerri Lee (Mike) Todd and Jessica Luanne Allen; one son, Michael (Carmela) Bartlett; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (John Ford) Metzger, Stacie (Seth) Helbert, Stephen (Whitley) Todd, James Bartlett, Cameron Bartlett, Brittany Allen, and Brandee Allen; and nine great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Greg.
David’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Burial will follow at Tunnelton Cemetery. Visitation will also be held at Ferguson-Lee Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
