BLOOMINGTON— Kappa Alpha Theta won the 36th Women’s Litte 500 running on Friday, dominating the field and taking the title for the ninth year at Armstrong Stadium at Indiana University in Bloomington.
The IU Student Foundation reported more than 15,000 fans turned out for the Little 500 races in Bloomington over the weekend.
They had a significant lead and dominated the last 40-plus laps.
Kappa Alpha Theta and Delta Gamma worked together as they separated from the pack, but by the 60th lap, Kappa Alpha Theta cemented an insurmountable lead.
Delta Gamma, Teter, and Melanzana were on the same lap with ten laps remaining in the race.
ButTeter edged out Delta Gamma, taking second place, and Delta Gamma placed third. Melanzana took fourth place.
