BLOOMFIELD – A Greene County inmate has died while in custody.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department reports 42-year-old Lea Pfaff, of Bloomfield, died Thursday evening.
The department said Pfaff suffered an “unknown medical event.”
Staff say they began lifesaving measures before she was taken by ambulance to Greene County General Hospital and then transferred to Evansville, where she died.
An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
According to online court records, Pfaff was held on charges of felony criminal recklessness and misdemeanor criminal mischief.Â
