BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Plan Commission has approved site plans for a student housing apartment building near Memorial Stadium.
Developer Core Spaces says the apartment complex Bloomington HUB II will be built at 17th and Lincoln Streets. Construction is scheduled for later this year.
Bloomington HUB II would include two five-story buildings with 441 apartment units totaling 1,143 bedrooms. There will be a mix of floor plan options, with 114 studio apartments, 22 one-bedroom units, 127 two-bedroom units, 27 three-bedroom units, 59 four-bedroom units, and 92 five-bedroom units.
Before construction, about two dozen buildings, including several homes, will have to be demolished.
