William ‘Billy’ A. Poling, 65, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born August 4, 1958, in Bedford, he was the son of Allen M. and Ariel (Megnin) Poling. He was a business owner and member of the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bedford, the Lawrence County Art Association, the Little Theatre of Bedford, the White River Humane Society, and the IU Varsity Club. He was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School Class of 1976. He attended trade school in Cincinnati. Billy was an avid Indiana University Athletics and Cincinnati Reds fan and attended several games. He loved to write, was an incredible artist, and enjoyed trips to Disney. He faithfully attended
the Indianapolis 500 for many years. He loved his German Shepards and driving his Mustang.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1at Sherwood Oaks Christian
Church in Bedford with Tim Thompson officiating. A memorial gathering will be from noon until the
hour of service on Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in Billy’s memory to the American Cancer Society, Lawrence County Center for Women’s Ministries, or the White River Humane Society.
