Tillie W. Jones, 93, of Bedford, passed away at her residence at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Born November 24, 1930, in Russell Springs, KY, she was the daughter of Rueben and Cecil Wooten. She married Herbert Jones, Sr., and he preceded her in death. She was the Supervisor of Laundry at the Hospitality House and a member of the New Hope Church in Bedford.
Survivors include children Raymond Sexton and Barbara Mundy, both of Bedford; Rubin Jones, of Tennessee; Herbert Jones, Jr. (Christina) of Scottland, IN; Tommy Jones (Mary) of Oolitic, IN; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; Several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day &
Carter Mortuary with Bro. Curtis Pruett is officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
