SCOTT CO. — Two drivers are dead after three semis were involved in a fiery crash on Interstate 65 in southern Indiana.
The crash closed all southbound lanes near Austin early Tuesday morning.
Indiana State Police reported that the crash happened after midnight.
Police say a semitrailer was stopped in construction when two other semitrailers crashed into it.
A third person in a sleeper cab was seriously hurt and had severe burns, ISP said.
ISP said the left lane of I-65 was damaged and needed repairs before reopening.
Drivers can reroute to 256 to U.S. 31, then back to I-65.
