BEDFORD – Cameron Fischman, 18, of Bedford, is facing a felony charge of child molesting after police say he had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old female.
On June 9, 2023, Bedford Police Captain Nicholas Lemke took a report from a father who reported his 13-year-old daughter was missing. He told police his daughter could be with Fischman, who he learned was having a sexual relationship with his daughter. Fischman was 17 years old. He had just learned about the relationship on June 6, 2023. He told police he went into his daughter’s room around 6:00 a.m. and found Fischman in his daughter’s bed. The female teen was missing. She was then picked up by police a short time later when she and other juveniles were walking down a street intoxicated. She then admitted to having a sexual relationship with Fischman.
On June 9, 2023, the father reported his daughter missing, and he believed she was with Fischman. Police found her at The Pines Apartments with Fischman and numerous other juveniles—the female was found naked from the waist down and unwilling to speak to officers. The teen had admitted to her mother that she had recently lost her virginity to Fischman sometime within the last ten days.
The teen told police she had a consensual romantic relationship with Fischman.
The Department of Child Services was alerted.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Probation’s Office, and a warrant was issued for Fischman.
