MARTIN CO. – Scammers targeting Martin County residents use phone calls to solicit donations for or in memory of Shoals Town Marshal Todd Eckert.
The scammers make the calls using the Shoals Town Hall’s phone number, 812-247-2110, though they can manipulate technology to display any number.
Residents are advised not to give money or provide information if they receive such calls.
