JACKSON CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Ragle Inc. plans to reduce State Road 258 to one lane over White Creek on or after Monday, May 6, to begin a bridge rehabilitation project in Jackson County.
Work will occur approximately three miles west of Cortland, just east of North County Road 100 East. Alternating lane closures will occur daily from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. Flagging operations will be utilized while work is in progress. S.R. 258 will remain fully open while crews are not actively working. Signage will be placed in the area before the start of construction. Work is expected to be complete by late July, weather permitting.
This work is part of a contract awarded to Ragle Inc. in February 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
