BLOOMINGTON— In addition to delicious produce, visitors can purchase various foods from food and beverage artisans at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market.
One of the best reasons to shop at a local farmers’ market is the access to fresh, locally grown foods. In addition to delicious produce, you can purchase an array of foods from various food and beverage artisans.
You can expect various farm and field goods throughout the season, including fruits and vegetables, eggs, meats and cheeses, honey, seasonal flowers, and annual and perennial plants.
Food and beverage artisans provide a tasteful variety of satisfying breads, drinks, pastries, and savory dishes.
This weekly gathering allows individuals to connect with their community meaningfully while supporting small farmers and businesses.
Music at the Market
Led by French-Canadian musician Jony Perron, the JonyP trio is not your typical jazz trio.
They are comprised of:
- Jony Perron – Drums
- Kurt Baer – Saxophone
- Steve Mascari – Bass
Boasting a modern, groovy approach to old Jazz standards, spiced with Latin flavors and sprinkled with mesmerizing solos, this musical experience will forever be engraved in your memories. JonyP performs this Saturday at 10 a.m. on the BCFM Circular Stage.
Mayor’s Team at the Table
This community outreach program invites market-goers to engage with the mayor and various department heads from the City of Bloomington government.
This week, After-Hours Ambassador Charles Culp and Special Projects Program Specialist Marissa Parr-Scott, both from the Community and Family Resources Department, will greet the public at the Market between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
