BNL finishes second in Unified meet

BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence finished second during Unified track action at Bloomington South on Thursday.

The Panthers won the meet with 125 points, followed by the Stars (118) and Edgewood (80).

Winners for BNL included Rex Evans (1:15.70 in the 400) and the 800 relay (1:59.85).

“We faced an extremely good Bloomington South team tonight, and we performed well,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “We started off with some nerves, but then we settled down and had some excellent performances. Our work on our form and race strategies are starting to pay off. You could see that in all the kids. We just need to get back to work, and keep honing our skills and our mental attitudes for the postseason.”

BNL will host Columbus East and Seymour for Senior Night on May 9.
