NEW ALBANY – Bedford North Lawrence finished fifth in the boys Hoosier Hills Conference meet during high school track action on Thursday.
The Stars totaled 68 points. Floyd Central won the team title with 168. In the girls meet, BNL was seventh with 34 points, while the Highlanders claimed the team crown with 164.
In the boys meet, top finishers for the Stars included Orion Hill (second in the discus at 138-3), Tripp Stahl (second in the shot put at 44-7.5), Braydon Patterson (third in the high jump at 6-2), Oliver Brown (third in the pole vault at 10-6), and Jonah Bailey (third in the 1600 in 4:44.49 and fourth in the 3200 in 10:30.73).
Paige Voigtschild was the top BNL finisher in the girls meet as she came in second in the 800 (2:34.12) and fourth in the 1600 (5:55.27). Macey Lambrechjt was fourth in the shot put (30-3.5).
BNL’s girls will compete in the IHSAA sectional at Seymour on Tuesday, while the boys will compete in the sectional at Brownstown on Thursday.
