BEDFORD – On Sunday, May 12, at 9:26 p.m., Bedford Police Officer Christian Anderson responded to a complaint of an unwanted male in the 1000 block of 24th Street.
The caller reported that 53-year-old Bradley Goss had just left. The caller said Goss had been served an eviction notice and was to leave the home by 6:00 p.m. that day.
The caller said Goss appeared to be intoxicated and left in an older 90s vehicle.
While speaking to the caller, they noticed Goss traveling toward M Street in a silver Honda Accord. He then turned right from M Street onto 24th Street. Goss then parked in the driveway.
While police spoke to Goss, they detected the odor of alcohol. He was also unsteady and had glossy eyes and slurred speech.
Sgt. Faheem Bade had Goss submit to field sobriety tests. Goss was smoking a cigarette and had to be told numerous times to put it out. Goss failed the field sobriety tests.
He was detained. Lawrence Superior Court I Judge John Plummer III issued a warrant for Goss to submit to a blood draw. Goss was then transported to IU Health Bedford Hospital. He was then transported to jail on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 percent or greater, OWI endangerment, and OWI with a prior conviction.
His vehicle was released to the registered owner. The Bedford Animal Control officer picked up the dog inside the car and took his dog to the White River Humane Society.
According to court records, Goss was convicted of OWI in Lawrence County on August 11, 2022.
