BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s Patric Matson and Miley Sherrill have been selected to participate in the 22nd annual Top 100 Underclass Showcase.
The event, staged by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association and the IHSAA, is designed for exposure (131 girls and 120 boys) to college basketball coaches from the state and across the nation.
Matson, a junior wing, averaged 20.1 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Stars (13-9) last season, earning First Team honors in the Hoosier Hills Conference. He shot 50 percent from 3-point range and 55 percent overall, and he scored a career-high 39 points against New Albany.
Sherrill, a freshman starter, averaged 9.0 points and 4.8 rebounds as BNL (20-5) won its 13th straight girls Class 4A sectional title. Sherrill was named Honorable Mention in the HHC.
The girls Showcase is set for June 13 at Ben Davis in Indianapolis, while the boys Showcase is scheduled for June 28 at Ben Davis.
