BEDFORD – The WorkOne office has moved from Mitchell Road to the StoneGate Arts & Education Center at 931 15th Street.
Five staff members are on-site to provide employment and training services to Lawrence County residents.
Susan Neal, Executive Director of WorkOne Operations in Region 8, said the new downtown office location will help WorkOne be more accessible to the public and better serve the community.
StoneGate offers skilled training courses. The facility is also home to Ivy Tech Community College, Vincennes University, and Indiana Wesleyan, which connect residents with college courses.
Vincennes University Adult Education also offers on-site Adult Education Classes.
Employment and training services are available for veterans, those with disabilities, unemployed individuals, those without a high school diploma, young adults, migrant farm workers, and senior citizens.
