Obituary: Robert ‘Bob’ Dean Moser


August 11, 1947 – May 17, 2024

Robert ‘Bob’ Dean Moser, 76, of Heltonville, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Brown County Health and Living in Nashville, Indiana.

Born in Bedford on August 11, 1947, he was the son of Marlin and Wanda (Tayor) Moser. He married Bonnie Hayes on January 25, 1969, and she survives.

Bob was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He retired from Visteon in Bedford and attended Fairview Community Church. He loved hunting, fishing, playing basketball and softball, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving to cherish the memory of Bob is his wife, Bonnie; one son, Rob (Annette) Moser; one daughter, Kimberly (Brian) Reynolds; four grandchildren, Austin, Grant, Justin, and Clayton; two great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Addisyn; two sisters, Ruth Ann (Beth) Manns and Tracey (Tom) Thornton; and one half-brother, Jimmy Hillenburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Wanda Moser.

Funeral services will be held for Robert Dean “Bob” Moser at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, with Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Community Church Cemetery, with Military Rites accorded by the American Legion, Gillen Post 33 Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22nd, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
