Wilma Sorrells, 101, of Brownstown, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 11:25 a.m. at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.
She was born in Bedford on April 19, 1923, to Reed and Ada (Boone) McAlpine. Wilma married Edward Sorrells on November 25, 1953; he preceded her in death on June 6, 1996. Wilma worked as a teacher’s aide at Huron School and at Reliance in Mitchell, Wilma was a member of the Huron Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Gina (Mike) Zink of Vallonia, two grandchildren, Matthew (Brittany) Maurer of Mooresville and Megan (Mike) Davidson of Brownstown, and two great-grandchildren, Noah Davidson and Peyton Davidson.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward Sorrells, two sisters, June Cox, and Juanita Atchison.
Private funeral services will be held at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
