BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence concluded its girls track season during the IHSAA regional at Bloomington North on Tuesday.
The top three in each event qualified for the state finals at Indiana University on May 31.
The Stars competed in five events. Paige Voigtschild was the top finisher as she crossed the finish line in seventh in the 800-meter race (2:30.39).
Other competitors for BNL included Trinity Schmeichel (12th in the 300 hurdles in 52.07), Avery Brown (17th in the pole vault at 7-6), the 3200 relay (Voigtschild, Gracie Simmerman, Elise Williams and Evija Buike were 10th in 10:57.14) and the 1600 relay (Voigtschild, Rose Dusard, Simmerman and Williams were 12th in 4:29.33).
“I’m proud of them,” BNL coach Jason Webb said. “Everyone finished higher than their preliminary seeding.”
BNL finished 32nd in the team standings with 2 points. Bloomington North won the team title with 103.5.
