BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Police Department Teen Academy 2024 will run from June 24th at 8 a.m. to June 26th at 4:30 p.m.
This program is designed to introduce teens aged 13 – 17 to law enforcement in general and the Bloomington Police Department in particular.
The academy will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Public Safety Training Facility at 3230 South Walnut Street in Bloomington. It will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and interactive events designed to entertain, engage, and instruct teenagers.
The course will be taught by officers of various ages and experiences, from senior officers with over 25 years of experience to brand-new officers who have just completed training. It will be limited to 50 students.
The Teen Academy costs $25.00 (scholarships are available). Lunch is provided daily.
