Commission on the Status of Women announces call-out to participate in Women’s Market

BLOOMINGTON- The City of Bloomington’s Commission on the Status of Women will host the 2024 Women’s Market at City Hall on July 27 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The market will showcase women-owned businesses, female artisans, and women’s health organizations, with vendor booths positioned throughout City Hall.

Local businesses, non-profits, and artists can register online for vendor booth space. Booth registration is free, but space is limited. The registration deadline is Monday, July 8, at 5 p.m.

The Bloomington Commission on the Status of Women was established in 1973 by a committee of local women leaders interested in closing the gender pay gap in Bloomington. These women wanted a commission to investigate what barriers stood in the way of attaining gender pay equity at the local level and what opportunities existed to advance toward this goal.
