LAWRENCE CO. – Candidates interested have begun to file for the upcoming school board races for North Lawrence Community Schools and Mitchell Community Schools.
School board races are non-partisan seats, and each board member serves four-year terms. Candidates for each school board race must file a petition with the county clerk’s office, including signatures of ten registered voters in the district they reside in and are running for.
Filing for North Lawrence Community Schools:
- Justin Sokeland District 4
- Wendy Miller District 4
Filing for Mitchell Community Schools:
- Patrick Redman Mitchell District 1
- Dwight Dunbar Mitchell District 2
June 20, 2024, is the last day for candidates for the School Board to file to run in the general election.
