JACKSON CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Three Star Painting, Inc. plans to reduce State Road 39 to one lane over Grassy Fork on or after Monday, June 3, to begin bridge rehabilitation work in Tampico.
Work will take place approximately four miles north of State Road 256 and is expected to take up to four weeks, weather permitting. Temporary traffic signals will be utilized while work is in progress, and crews will begin to place signage in the area before construction.
This project is part of a contract awarded to Three Star Painting in December 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
