David L. King,68, of Bedford passed away on May 28, 2024, at 5:59 PM at
IU Bedford Hospital. He was born in Bedford on September 6, 1955, to
Lewis and Ruth (Sowders) King. David worked in the coal mines and
recently at Shorty’s Bar & Grill in Bedford.
Survivors include his “One and Only” daughter, Jami (Jeffery) Crane,
grandchildren, Seth W. Watson, Cadace M. Watson, and Joseph L. Kidd,
step grandchildren, KaeLei Crane, Jealsie Crane, and Josiah Crane, great
grandchildren, Jordan White, Raylin Jo Hatfield, Rhyatt Conolty, Emerie
Watson, Elyza Watson, and Emilia Watson, two sisters, Doris Woodward,
and Delores King, one brother, Paul King
David enjoyed spending time with his son-in-law, Jeff. He never met a
stranger, he was Designated Dave, he would give you the shirt off his back.
Everyone loved him, especially the ladies, who would always have a hug for
him when they saw him around town, he loved his old red Ford, he drove it
everywhere, and he always got a kick out of his grandkids fighting over
which one would get it when he was gone.
Funeral services will be on Monday June 3, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Cresthaven
Funeral Home, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens, visitation
will be on Monday June 3 rd from 1:00 PM until service time at 4:00 PM,
