ORLEANS – The Orleans Town Council met briefly in a special session at Town Hall on Friday, May 31.
Town Clerk Robert Henderson officially declared Jim Lindsey the new Orleans Town Marshal.

Lindsey, who officially began his duties on June 1, replaces Richard Dixon, who retired at the end of May after serving as Marshal for the last nine years.

In related matters, the council also approved Lindsey’s recommendation for Roy McFarland to serve as Chief Deputy Marshal under Lindsey.

Chris Hubbard was hired as a new SRO/Dep. Marshal replacing Dustin Wang, who recently resigned from the position with the West Baden police department.
