OOLITIC – The Town of Oolitic will conduct a roadblock on Saturday, June 8th, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Main Street and Hoosier Avenue.
The roadblock proceeds will raise needed funds to rehabilitate the Old Fire Station at 103 Main Street into a community center.
The building will be renamed The Oolitic Community Center.
The Center will be available to rent for receptions, birthday parties, special town events, and town meetings.
Eventually, a full commercial kitchen will be built to host events like chili cookoffs and spaghetti dinners
