BLOOMINGTON – Blueberries are one of the few fruits native to North America. They are hailed as a superfood high in antioxidants and have grown in popularity in recent years.
Raspberries are clusters of “drupelets,” or tiny stone fruits. Most commonly, red raspberries can be found in a range of hues, from gold to purplish black.
This past Saturday, various berries were abundant at the Farmers’ Market. Above are two locally grown berries you can look forward to as we head into berry season. Due to their short shelf life, many berries are rarely found outside farmers’ markets and backyard gardens, so savor them in their juicy glory while you can!
Music at the Market

They play traditional Dixieland songs from the 1920s up to the present.
