Man sentenced to prison after committing new crimes while on probation

BEDFORD – A Bedford man was sentenced to prison after violating the terms of his probation.

On June 29, 2023, Christopher Cox, 43, pled guilty to two charges of possession of methamphetamine, as a Level 6 felony, and one charge of operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator, a Level 6 Felony, as part of a negotiated plea agreement.

As a result, he was placed on supervised probation.

However, while on probation, Cox failed to comply with the terms of his probation, and new charges were filed.

Due to new charges filed. Lawrence County Superior Court II Judge Robert Cline sentenced Cox to the Indiana Department of Corrections for 900 days executed.
