VINCENNES – Knox Circuit Court Judge Monica Gilmore sentenced a 34-year-old Vincennes man Monday to 100 years in prison on two counts of felony molesting.
William L.W. Cummings was found guilty by a jury on May 22 on two felony counts of molesting. The jury only took 30 minutes to reach its verdict. Cummings was convicted of molesting a girl who was between 6 and 9 years old between 2014 and 2017.
Knox County Prosecutor Dirk Carnahan says he is aware that such lengthy sentences do little for this victim but protect other victims and hopefully show the community that the goal is protecting our children.
