BLOOMINGTON – Sue Ellspermann, president of Ivy Tech Community College, has announced her retirement.
Ellspermann will retire in June 2025 at the end of her current contract.
She joined the College in 2016 after serving as Indiana’s 50th Lieutenant Governor. She is looking forward to spending more time with her family and friends.
The Ivy Tech State Board of Trustees will begin a nationwide search for the next president in the fall. The board is identifying an executive search firm to support the process.

- January – March: Interviews
- Spring 2025: Announce New President
- On or Before July 1, 2025 – New President Starts
