Two were arrested on drug charges after a report of suspicious activity

BEDFORD— On Monday, June 10, at 8:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 14th and F Streets after a report that several people in a red Mercedes-Benz were seen taking items from a home in the 1000 block of F Street.

The caller reported the vehicle was last seen traveling east on 14th Street.

Officer Landon Jones spotted and followed the car traveling west on 15th Street from I Street. The vehicle was traveling 38 miles per hour in a 30-mile-per-hour zone and had a tinted license plate cover that obstructed the vehicle’s plate. Officer Jones initiated a traffic stop. The driver stopped near 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

The driver was Brayden Hamelman. Sebastian Harp was the front-seat passenger. Dalson Terrell, Camryn Dyer, and Zachairah Vaughn were the back-seat passengers.

The occupants confirmed they were picking up Terrell’s belongings at the F Street home.

Sgt. Faheem Bade and canine Zazu were requested to come to the scene.

Sebastian Harp

Officers learned that Harp was wanted on an outstanding warrant on charges of possession of meth, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, visiting a common nuisance, and he was detained.

Hamelman was issued citations for speed and improper display of a license plate.

The others were asked to step out of the vehicle. That is when Dyer handed Officer Tedrow a THC vape.

During a search of the vehicle, police found an animal print bag in the trunk that belonged to Dyer that contained two glass smoking devices, two baggies containing crystal meth, and a cut staw that contained crystal meth.

Camryn Dyer

Dyer, 18, was arrested on charges of possession of meth and marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Both Dyer and Harp were transported to jail. Terrell, Vaughn, and Hamelman were released from the scene.
