LIVONIA — On Thursday, June 13th, at approximately 9:49 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to Saltillo Road, near the intersection of Tarr Road, after a report of a motorcycle accident with injuries.
Deputies found a 2013 Harley Davidson Road Glide off the west side of Saltillo Road, which had sustained heavy damage.
The motorcycle driver was identified as Darren Scott, 36, of Paoli. His passenger was 21-year-old Alexis Hendricks of Elnora.
According to police, Scott had been traveling south on Saltillo Road when he was met by an oncoming, northbound vehicle, which was left of center. The motorcycle traveled off the right-hand side of the roadway, ejecting both Scott and Hendricks.
Scott and Hendricks were both flown by Air Evac and Air Methods to the University of Louisville Hospital for severe injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Scott and Hendricks were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
Deputy Seth Goode is the investigating officer and was assisted by Deputy Hailee Lopotosky, the Washington County Ambulance Service, members of the Campbellsburg Volunteer Fire Department, Air Methods, and Air Evac.
The crash remains under investigation.
