BEDFORD – On Tuesday, June 18th, the Parks Department board met for their monthly meeting.
Tracy Bailey, Member Larry Arnold along with department staff Operations Manager Amber McIntryre and Autumn Ray.
Park Director Jimmy Jones announced to the attending board members that he had hired a new Recreational Director. Isaiah Moore, who will start on July 1st, graduated from BNL High School with a degree from USI. He is the successor to Gary Dorsett, who retired on May 3rd.
Regarding updates given to the board, Jimmy Jones stated, “We started the green pods on the driving range renovation that we did. We’ve got four of those done and two remaining that we will finish next week. We started laying the new sod on the five fairway yesterday, and we’ll finish it up either today or Thursday and then we’ll go to six and do the fairways on hole number six.”
