Bedford Housing Authority Board of Commissioners holds monthly meeting

BEDFORD—The Bedford Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners met today at the Hauck House. The board expressed concern about a maintenance crew shortage due to an employee moving out of town. The maintenance crew currently has two vacant spots.

A resolution was voted on and passed that will add the Community Service policy listing and an acknowledgment section to the Public Housing Lease Agreement. Unless exempt, those who receive public housing are required to do eight hours of community service per month. In listing the policy and having it acknowledged, the board is hoping to raise awareness and encourage the proper required involvement.
