MITCHELL – On May 30, Mitchell Police Jacob Kuhlman received a call at the Mitchell Police Department reporting Jacob York, 32, of Bedford, had confronted two women outside of the Dollar Tree around 3:30 p.m.

Jacob York

York was inside a vehicle and passed by the two women, swearing at them and then flipping them off.

One of the women has an active protective order in place against York.

At 9:00 p.m., Officer Kuhlman contacted York in the 1000 block of West Main Street and asked what transpired between him and the women.

York told police one of the women yelled out the window of the Dollar Tree, swearing at him. He told police he did not see the woman who filed the protective order against him.

However, the woman told police York looked directly at her when he yelled and flipped her off.

The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office, and a warrant was issued for York’s arrest on a charge of invasion of privacy.
