Construction has begun on the new Bloomington VA Outpatient Clinic

BLOOMINGTON – The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Veteran Health Indiana officials broke ground Thursday on a new VA Outpatient Clinic in Bloomington.

When complete, the $7.5 million facility will have the capacity to serve 5,000 area veterans.

The new 24,000-square-foot clinic at 3098 North Lintell Drive, expected to be complete and open in late summer 2025, will consolidate mental health, primary care, and specialty care services under one roof.

Currently, veterans receive care at two facilities in Bloomington.

“Veterans’ trust in the work of Department of Veterans Affairs employees is at an all-time high,” said Michael Hershman, Director of Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center and Veteran Health Indiana. “We believe that having multiple healthcare services under one roof will enhance patient convenience, specialty collaboration, and communication, ultimately providing a more holistic approach to healthcare. Veterans will have access to specialty care for physical therapy, optometry, audiology, prosthetics, dietician services, social work, phlebotomy, and telehealth.

The facility will add 30 new jobs and 15 existing employees.
