Bonnie J. Fountain, 72, of Norman, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born December 28, 1951, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Vernon and Grace (Allen) Hearth. She married George M. Fountain on May 6, 1972, and he survives.
She was a graduate of Smithville High School. She was the postmaster of the Norman Post Office and a member of the Bartlettsville Christian Church. She loved her family, especially the grandkids and was a talented cake decorator.
Survivors include her husband, George M., of Norman; three sons, Michael Troy Fountain and wife, Jamie, Eric Scott Fountain and wife, Aimee, Cory Joe Fountain and wife, Cassidy; grandchildren, Hannah Fountain and her fiancé, Schuyler Lambrecht, William Fountain and wife, Grace, Ella Fountain, Emma Fountain, Chloe Fountain, Benjamin Fountain, Jordan Tussey and husband, Calvin, Luke Dalton and wife, Dorian, and Allie Deckard; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Kamin, Karson, Klay, Layla, Liam, Millie, and a bab boy on the way; a brother, Ronald Hearth and wife, Kathy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Lebert, Kenny, Kay, Ralph, Nori, and Donna, and a granddaughter, Allison Dalton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Tim Day and Roy Hughe officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
