EVANSVILLE — The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office has released details into the death of 4-year-old Octavia Aquino.
Octavia died from complications from blunt force trauma to her head and neck on June 16.
Evansville Police charged 16-year-old Christian Gonzalez with murder in the child’s death. Her mother, 23-year-old Destiny Rhoades, was accused of neglect of a dependent, resulting in death.
The coroner’s office said the final autopsy report is pending forensic and toxicologic analysis.
