MITCHELL- A Mitchell man admitted to drinking beer and bourbon before getting behind the wheel of a vehicle was arrested.
Police arrested 19-year-old Stevie A. King on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Indiana State Police Trooper Cody Brown assisted during a traffic stop in the 100 block of Dale Street in Mitchell.
When Trooper Brown spoke to King he could smell alcohol on his breath.
King admitted to drinking beer and bourbon prior to driving.
Police say King had a blood-alcohol level of 0.090.
King was detained. He agreed to a blood draw and was transported to IU Health Bedford Hospital. After the test, he was transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
