BLOOMINGTON — Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington’s School of Health Sciences is hosting an information session and training lab tour on Tuesday, July 9, at 6 p.m. in room C124. The public is invited to attend. Faculty and admissions staff will be available to answer questions and help interested students get started with the application and enrollment process.
Attendees will learn more about the seven programs in the School of Health Sciences that lead to careers in nursing and other in-demand healthcare fields, including Healthcare Specialist, Kinesiology & Exercise Science, Medical Assisting, Paramedic Science, Radiation Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Therapeutic Massage.
Students can complete a healthcare credential to start or advance their career in as few as eight weeks to two years. Various short-term certifications are tuition-free with the state’s Next Level Jobs (NLJ) grant for qualifying students. Some NLJ certificate programs include CNA, EMT, phlebotomy, medical assisting, outpatient insurance coding, paramedic, and massage.
