BEDFORD- The Bedford All Stars little league team got off to a hot start in pool play on Saturday. The team won its two games by a combined score of 27-0.

Ben Spreen Drives 4 Runners Home In Bedford LL 2024 Victory Over Franklin LL 12u
Ben Spreen drove in four runs on two hits to lead Bedford LL 2024 past Franklin LL 12u 12-0 on Saturday. Ben hit an inside-the-park home run in the second inning, scoring three runs, and doubled in the fourth inning, scoring one.
Reid Nikirk struck out 12 batters on the day. The righty also allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings while walking four.
Bedford LL 2024 opened the scoring in the first after Bear Browning singled, scoring two runs.
Four more Bedford LL 2024 runs crossed the plate in the second inning to extend the lead to 6-0. None induced Braylon Bailey-Tuell to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, and Ben hit an inside-the-park home run, scoring three runs.
Bedford LL 2024 added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Ty Spreen grounded out, and, each scoring one run.
Four more Bedford LL 2024 runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 12-0. Ben doubled, scoring one run, Bear doubled, scoring one run, and Reid homered to right field, scoring two runs.
Bear led Bedford LL 2024 with three hits in three at-bats. Trenten Akin stole three bases. Bedford LL 2024 was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ben made the most plays with 12.
Graham led Franklin LL 12u with one hit in one at bat.

Reid Nikirk’s Big Day Propels Bedford LL 2024 Past Artesians LL Red
Reid Nikirk drove in four runs on three hits to lead Bedford LL 2024 past Artesians LL Red 14-0 on Sunday. Reid singled in the second scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and singled in the fourth scoring one.
Bear Browning struck out 10 batters on the day. The righty also allowed zero hits and zero runs over four innings while walking two.
Bedford LL 2024 was the first to get on the board in the first when Reid singled, scoring one run.
Bedford LL 2024 scored six runs on three hits in the top of the second inning. An error scored one run, Ben Spreen drew a walk, scoring one run, Bear singled, scoring two runs, and Reid singled, scoring two runs.
Bedford LL 2024 added one run in the third. Levi Thompson grounded out, making the score 8-0.
