Jimmie Lovell, 91, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 5:20 p.m. at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
He was born in Kentucky on October 4, 1932, to Earl and Cassie (Sexton) Lovell. Jimmie married Ruby (Sipes) Lovell on June 20, 1969, and she survives. Jimmie worked for 27 years at Sarkes Tarzan in Bloomington. Then, he worked as a self-employed mechanic and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lovell of Bedford, six children, Linda Lovell and her companion Terry Graves of Bedford; Carolyn Stigall and husband Kim of Bedford; Bill Hawkins and wife Kathy of Brownstown; Allen Hawkins and companion, Leigh Ann of Seymour; Lisa Hillenburg and husband Dwayne of Bedford, and James Earl Lovell of Bedford, ten grandchildren, Whitney Woerner, Chad Stigall, Darren Stigall, Jacobi Hillenburg, Jareb Hillenburg, Kayla Reed, Tanner Hawkins, Kelly JoHawkins, Adam Hawkins, and Dustin Hawkins, 15 Great grandchildren three sisters, Barbara Woods, Audrey Sutton, Janie Waldon, one brother, Jerry Lovell, one sister-in-law; Carol Ann Lovell.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Private graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Cresthaven Memory Gardens, with Rev. Harold Godsey officiating.
