Obituary: Troy Joseph Simpson Jr.

October 22, 1997 – July 1, 2024

Troy Joseph Simpson, Jr., 26, of Bedford, passed away in his home on July 1, 2024.

Troy loved his family, especially his two daughters. He enjoyed watching anime, taking photos, and recently painting.

Troy loved animals, especially cats, and always tried to adopt strays. He also loved music and spending time with his family.

Troy was known for cracking jokes and trying to make others laugh. He will be missed immensely.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Troy Simpson, Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Connie Henson.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lisa and Tod Norman; siblings Nick (Johanna) De Palma, Mason De Palma, Tori (Alex) Adams, and Julian Norman; grandparents Terry and Connie Simpson and Tony Henson; daughters Elena and Raelynn; his niece and nephew, Azriyya and Gabrial De Palma; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, July 8th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford from Noon until 2:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Moose Family Lodge from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 pm.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Troy’s memory to the Indiana Recovery Alliance of Bloomington or the White River Humane Society.
