Helen Jane Nelson, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born July 31, 1946 in Orange County, she was the daughter of Clifford and Nellie Jane (Haag) Morgan.
Helen was a 1964 graduate of Orleans High School. She worked at RCA and retired from Visteon. Helen loved to watch the squirrels and deer that ate outside her window. She loved her beloved cat “Biggie”. She attended Pinhook Christian Church and enjoyed being outside and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Blakey; granddaughter, Moriah Blakey; and great-granddaughter, Mia Blakey, all of Spencer; and her siblings, Richard (Judy) Morgan of Nevada and Dorothy Arbuckle of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Glenn Morgan, John Morgan, Carl Morgan, and Janet Dass, one son, James Nelson, one grandson, Evan Blakey, and a great-grandson, Uriah Blakey.
The graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Bethel Cemetary.
