Nadine Carol Thomas, 89, of Mitchell, passed away peacefully at 3:00 AM on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. Born July 8, 1934, in Alliance, Ohio, she was the daughter of Paul and Lois (McConnel) Haessly. She attended Orleans Christian Church and enjoyed going out with her best friend Shirley Terry to eat and ride to Spring Mill to look at the ducks.
Survivors include daughters Mary (Tim) Williams of Arizona and Vicki (Tom) Akin of Orleans; son Arnold (Nancy) Wendt of Bedford; one brother, Kenny Haessly; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Mack Haessly, sisters Shirley Borland and Paulette Pennington, and infant sister Mary; three daughters, Linda Murphy, Ruby Wendt, and Marilyn Wendt; one son, Paule Wendt.
The family would like to thank Stonebridge Health Campus staff, along with Southern Care Hospice, for their care.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Cresthaven Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Bostic officiating.
