Indiana Grazing Schools now open for registration

LOOGOOTEE – Calling all Indiana farmers! Registration is now open for the Indiana Grazing Schools. This is a great opportunity to learn about the latest in grazing, forage, and livestock management from Purdue Extension, Indiana Forage Council, NRCS, and Daviess County SWCD.

The schools will be held on August 2-3 at the Farm of Steve J Stoll (12397 E 500 N Loogootee, IN). The program will run from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The registration fee is $80.00 per person, including snacks, drinks, meals, and printed reference materials. Additional attendees from the same farm operation can register for $55.00 but will not receive printed reference materials.

The deadline to register is July 19th. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn from the experts and improve your farm management skills.

The course includes topics such as soil fertility, water, fencing and grating systems, animal health, and plant identification. Opportunities for hands-on learning include field tours, pasture walks, and small group discussions.
