In this role, you’ll directly impact the lives of animals by socializing them, providing them with love and attention, and ensuring their basic needs are met. You’ll maintain a clean and healthy animal environment by scrubbing kennels, walking dogs, and cleaning up waste. You’ll also keep the shelter running smoothly by washing dishes, folding laundry, and feeding the animals. Most importantly, you’ll be a reliable and dedicated team member, able to work in all weather conditions and with flexible scheduling, including some weekends.
The White River Humane Society is looking for someone who is at least 17 years old, loves animals of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, can lift heavy objects, such as bags of litter and pet food, and has reliable transportation to ensure consistent arrival for your shifts. The animals depend on you! Kennel Tech positions start at $12 per hour.
