Shirley Ann Flynn, 68, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born in Bedford on June 21, 1956, to R.C. Phillips and Norma (Neeley) Phillips. Shirley married Anthony Flynn on January 31, 1972, and he survives. Shirley worked as a CNA for over 30 years. She was a compassionate caregiver. She never met a stranger. She loved fishing and cooking but mostly loved her family and grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony Flynn, of Washington; two daughters, Aleah Ann York and husband Bruce of Washington and Rachel Eads and husband Joe of Bedford; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Donnie Phillips, two sisters, Lou Phillips and Faye Phillips, and a special niece, Misty Browning.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger Phillips.
