LAWRENCE COUNTY- The Lawrence InterFaith Endeavor, Inc. – LIFE has a fantastic program called Blessings in a Backpack, through which they send food home to kids in need on the weekends during the school year. Of course, this takes a lot of money, and they’ve recently earned a matching grant from the Lawrence County Community Foundation.
Here’s how you can help. For each dollar you give to the Blessings Program, the grant will match dollar for dollar up to the grant limit. So, each $1 you give helps buy $2 of food for the kids in need! Stop by LIFE Food Pantry at 1204 I Street to learn more, or call them at 812-279-4442.
